Question of the Week: Was Cyber Week Good for Your Brand?

Looking through all of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday articles on the business wires over the past week has left me in a bit of a haze. Mobile sales are up. Store sales are down. Online sales are up. Promotions worked. Promotions didn't work. It can all get very confusing.

Two things are facts, however: one, sales didn't meet expectations in November at major American store chains, including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Kohl’s and Target, and two, retail e-commerce spending for the first 30 days of the 2012 holiday shopping season grew 15 percent from last year, according to comScore. So to sum it up, online sales are taking over the reins from brick-and-mortar stores.

These are broad statistics, however. How did Cyber Week pan out for your brand? Did it notice an increase in online sales over last year? Was Black Friday in your brick-and-mortar stores really Red Friday? Let us know your thoughts by going to Retail Online Integration's Facebook page to comment. We'd love to get a conversation going on this topic. Thanks!
